The Farm
The Farm “Sergio Testini” was started almost one hundred years ago by Virgilio, Sergio’s father, who owned a small estate in the village of Centoia, about 6 miles away from Cortona, that served to support his then very large family. Besides the usual wheat and sunflower crops, vegetable garden and vineyard Virgilio also started breeding and trading cattle.
Sergio devoted himself both out of passion and necessity to his father's trade and carried it on extending the farm and concentrating it on wheat, sunflower and olive tree farming and swine breeding.
Sergio’s farm spreads today over a total surface of about 360 acres and includes two different swine farms located in the municipalities of Cortona and Montepulciano and covering thus both provinces of Arezzo and Siena.
In 2002, wishing to renew and diversify his range of activities, Sergio decided, together with his daughter Federica, to renovate one of the old farmhouses located about 2 miles away from Cortona and about 8 miles from the actual farm.
The country house once accommodated the farmers who worked in the estate and was converted into the current holiday farmhouse Giardino degli Ulivi.
Our traditional Tuscan-style apartments are ideal for relaxation and countryside lovers looking for a farm holiday in contact with nature.
