Agriturismo "Il Giardino degli Ulivi" is located 3 km from Cortona (Arezzo), within the heart of the famous Tuscan countryside. A total of 6 apartments were finely remodeled, maintaining all existing structures and their traditional Tuscan style: four apartments are located in the manor house, whereas the other two apartments are in an adjoining building, where the reception, laundry room and huge lounge area are also located.
Nature and tranquility lovers could go for an unforgettable farm holiday by taking advantage of it privileged position to easily reach and visit the main historical centers and art towns in Tuscany and Umbria.
The first floor was originally, as was then customary amongst farmers, where the family actually lived whilst the ground floor was used as a tool shed, hayloft and animal shed.
Today, thanks to the careful renovation of the old 19th century converted farmhouse, which was later enlarged in the course of the 20th century, and to the remodeling of a converted stable and a tool shed, the farmhouse offers six beautiful self-catering holiday apartments in Tuscany to those wishing to relax and find peace and quiet.
The two main buildings were remodeled with full respect of the existing structures maintaining all terracotta floors and exposed timber-beam ceilings and managing to combine tradition and modern conveniences at the same time such as satellite TV, independent heating, free Wi-Fi Internet connection in all the apartments.
Tradition and modern conveniences
The farmhouse, overlooking Cortona and offering a charming view of the town, is surrounded by a neat garden allowing all guests to enjoy an independent external area to eat “al fresco”. Guests will be able to use an old wood-burning oven located in a covered area to make a delicious pizza or mixed grill.
The park is enriched with a wonderful swimming pool (7 m x 14 m), fully equipped with a shower and a sunbathing area furnished with sun umbrellas, pool chairs and sun beds. The free Wi-Fi Internet connection is available in the swimming pool area and in the garden too. The estate also includes a newly planted olive grove. Every apartment has one roofed parking space available.
